Seems to me that the only explanation for this would be that the clutch disk is stuck to the flywheel, or there is something wrong with the pilot bearing. Did you replace the pilot bearing?? Was it a tight fit in the end of the crank shaft?? I have heard of the pilot bearings coming out of the hole they are supposed to stay in in the end of the crank shaft. That might cause a jam up which would keep the main drive shaft turning. The guy at my IH dealer told me to put locktight on the pilot bushing when I installed in to make sure it did not come out.
