Dick you ask a good question as I am wondering about cross-contaminating fluids from My H to the 584. I once plugged the trans filter in the 584 by borrowing a neighbour's equipment. The ram on his equipment contained foreign substances in the hydraulic oil and I suspect a different type of fluid. It seems to me that my H with no filter on the liftall ,filled with SAE30 would really do no favours to the 584 filled with hy-trans and a filter system. I see on this line that some say hy-trans will work in the old lift alls but not as well. I'll be watching the forum here to see what kind of reply you get. Mike in Exeter Ontario
