Paul, unless I am misunderstanding you, could you give a little more information on where this hydraulic pump is located and how it would cause extra oil in the crankcase. The stem was twisted off for checking the high level of the engine oil. This got me to thinking that the previous owner was unsure of himself and was adding oil when he should not have been. For your info my parts catalog for this tractor shows what it calls a ring packing, cylinder sleeve and is shown at the bottom of the sleeve. The parts counter where I purchased this manual said this manual was for the super c even though the first page says farmall c and I was given a small sticky tab to affix on this first page saying Super C. However, this manual also shows a gasket on the oil filter and my tractor does not have a gasket. Where the filter case makes contact with base there is a tappered groove. Makes you wonder. (I just now noticed that the 2nd and 3rd pages of this manual does say super c on them)
