My first thought was like Joe's- If You got good compression and no smoke, why bother with a ring job. Then my next thought was that if you already have the head off, might as well stick in some new rings and rod bearings. May not need sleeves now so new rings and rod bearings would be an easy preventative step at this time. Go for it, you'll be glad you did.
