656 TA linkage

Borrowed a neighbor's 656 d over the weekend, TA would work if you could move handle back and forth, 2 hand or harder job. Seems to be rusted or just seized up where shaft from handle goes through dash casting. Eventually the end of the shaft twisted off. Any idea where I might find a replacement part? It is sn 7867 S, ta engagement arm is located at lower left corner of the dash, the part I need is a shaft with splines on the TA arm end and a flat lever on the other side. Looks like it will push inward, left to right with some force to change but if anyone has taken one out let me know, also a source of the part and the name if possible.
