I almost always get a chuckle whenIhear or read somebody's spouse refered to as(the wife).Cause it sort of sounds about the the same as ( the dog) or (the cat).If I were to use that reference my wife would be after me with a rolling pin. However all the fellows that answered before me have given enough good advice to get you over the hump except they probably overlooked suggesting you try to find a simular splined stub shaft to align the clutch splines while bolting on the pressure plate.Otherwise you can have a lot of misury with marrying the two halfs together.Many auto parts stores rent plastic dummy substitutes. You can probably find one close enough to center the clutch plate. Good luck.
