I have seen the condenser go bad and stop you from getting spark. Replace it to be sure. Use any kind that will fit. Dose'nt matter. Just a reminder- you get spark when the points open. The first thing you need to do is make sure you're getting spark out of the coil. Hold the high voltage wire coming out of the top of the coil near a good ground and make the points open and close, either manually or by turning the starter. You can do this even if the distributor cap is removed. Watch the points to see if they are opening and closing. (Wont be much) If you got spark, then the problem is in the distributor. May need new rotor & cap. It could have carbon trail built up inside diverting the spark to ground instead of out the post, or you got things mixed up inside and rotor is not lined up with post when it does spark. Also make sure the negative screw on the coil is going to the distributor. Hope this gets you sparking!
