We have a 41 A too with electric starter. It is still 6V and works good. A's are nice working machines and if anything goes wrong because they do because they are old parts are easy to find and a tractor service man can fix them.

They are easy to fix because they are basic and all of these tractors were designed to be fixed with simple tools out in the field.
