As long as the crack is just in the outer part of the water jacket it can be repaired with J-B Weld. I have seen several repaired in this manner including one that was so bad I believed that it was not salvagable. That tractor runs fine and does not leak, but it is restricted to show and parade duty. Repair it. It's a lot less expensive and a lot less work.
