I have a 806 that does the same. It takes the slightest squirt you can give it to get going in any weather. It will start after 45 sec or so on its own but to save starter and batteries I shoot it. It has 15,000 or more hours. I think either the rings are broken or the pump is getting weak. Either way when it gets going it is a hard worker so I am gonna run it as long as it will. BTW I use ether from WalMart, their generic brand in a black can (SuperTech I think???) It seems to be very mild, has low ether content, lube added, and does not make the pistons knock like some I have used.
