f-cub 5442

i went to post my cub in the tractor registry and got confused,,,,,,, some people list the serial # as f-cub-### and some list simply the # which is correct????? and why are thier listings with high serial #'s listed as 1947 tractors??????

mine says f-cub 5442 i'll assume mine is a 47' till someone sets me straight
