I have a Farmall 806 with the same problem. It has been like this for about 4 years. It seems to have corrected itself for now, but I believe it may have been a sticking valve in the M.C.V. causing the pump to lose a prime, but I'm not sure. The only thing good about it is that no one else wants to use it. Good luck in finding the problem, I would like to know what you find.
