Red, the dipstick is just like picture when the tractor (H or M) is equipped with the 2 way hydraulic valve that was an option from IH. The return from the valve is piped into the fill pipe on the lift all by adding a pipe tee and a short nipple. With that extra height, a rigid dipstick is too long to go in, so they made a jointed one. The one in my MD is like that although I don't have the 2 way valve, it does still have the add on tee, etc on the fill hole and also the support for the control rod for the two way valve. That support is attached to the support for the regular lift all control rod.
