I would file and re-gap your points....Any corrosion at all would keep it from transmitting the spark. To get to the points...take the cap and rotor off of the mag, then remove the 3 screws that are holding the points cover on. you will see how the points work, simply take a small fingernail file from your wife or girlfriend, or mother....and file the surfaces down. After that, get a feeler gauge and set the gap on the points to .020 That is what the book says. .020 is how far apart the points should be when open. Good luck. I just had a Magneto on a Farmall A that needed to have the points cleaned out. GOOD LUCK!!
