IH 1086 Transmission Pressure Light

Just bought an IH 1086 with a Torque Amplifier. The Transmission Fluid Pressure Light comes on everytime the clutch pedal is depressed. The manual is sort of deceiving. It says that 'the light should never come unless it is equipped with a torque amplifier.' In which case it's supposed to go out when the clutch is engaged (immediately after starting). Should the light come on every time I push the clutch? (It doesn't have a differential lock.)
