For some reason, I thought you could take the screen off the center stud [on a 1929 22-36] and slip a paper filter [same size as a MD I was thinking] over it instead; however, when I was cleaning it up, I realized this one had the plunger going through the center [with a T-handle on top of the whole assembly].
Is there a filter that works with this or maybe a ready rod that makes a good substitute. Maybe I'm imaging the whole paper conversion without a new housing in the first place? :oops: :lol: With the mix of new, NOS, original and salvage parts in there I'd like to use a paper filter during break-in.
