Thought I'd post a followup to my sad story about my SC leaking all its steering gear oil out on the floor overnight. I took JD Humm's suggestion and replaced the seals and gaskets. It only cost $27 from Case/IH. All the bearings and gears were tight, so no problems there. Took about half a day including making 2x6 supports to hold up the front end. Not so lucky on the radiator. Cost $395 at Bates in Bourbon for a new one. Made in Ireland of all places. By the way, even though I only live 30 miles from Bates, I had never been there. I had to go into their warehouse to look at the difference between a rebuilt radiator and a new one. I was really impressed by their whole operation. It's hard to imagine a big, modern warehouse, entirely devoted to Farmall parts. Nice people too.
