Joe, you should probably post this question over on the Ford discussion board for more responses. I do follow both boards since I own both makes including a 2000 Ford SOS. My guess is that the torgue-limiting clutch has failed. this requires an engine/transmission split to repair. Check your PTO to see if it will still pull a load. If not, then remove the transmission fill/oil level plug down on the right side near the front of the tranny. With engine at idle look into the hole for signs of fluid movement, and or moving parts. Nothing moving is a pretty sure sign of torgue-limiting clutch failure. I had it happen on mine.
