While if it is truly Blue smoke instead of white it sounds like an oil leak if you think you have a flooding problem I would recommend taking a look at the float. I had a flooding problem once and found that I had a minute crack in the float. After filling it up and starting it the first time after rebuilding it, it ran fine. It was only after it sat for a while that the float filled up and I had a flooding problem. The crack was too small to be seen but by shaking the float it was obvious there was indeed a problem. I merely soldered it shut and it runs fine now.
