I have a lot to say about IH appliances. 1.) We have one in the barn for cattle medicines and our pop (some of you call it "soda"). It is about 50 years old and still works like a charm. It survived our barn fire Dec 3 1989 becuase the milk house was saved long enough to pull the fridge out ($$$ invested in medicines in it), so it serves as a daily reminder the work it has taken in 13 years to become a dairy again. Awesome item. 2.) I work as an appliance service and delivery man (yes, I'm your local Maytag guy). On Wednesday, I helped deliver a new chest freezer to replace an old one. It was a 1940's IH freezer. The weight was litterally unbearable. With a stove and refriderator up by the cab of the business's 2500 Dodge Ram, this beast hung out 3 or 4 feet from the tailgate and bottomed out the truck. Thank God for our electric stair stepping dolly, it made it out from the basement. Hey, when they're built that tough, they'll last that long.
