If the tractor runs but the head is cracked there may be a cylinder that miss fires. When my wife's relatives gave me the tractor it did not run and they told me the head was cracked, that when it did run it had a miss. AFTER the new head was ordered (from Worthington Ag, Canada) my mechanic looked at the old head my son and I had removed. He found a compression release value stuck in the open position. That would make the engine sound the same as if the head were cracked. But we used the new head anyway, whether the old head was actually cracked or not because we knew for sure it had been cracked and repaired once before. Otherwise look for fluid in the wrong places (oil in the water or water in the oil). If there is no miss and fluids stay where they belong then for what it's worth from my limited experience there is no crack.
