Cub LoBoy Carb

Well I took the advice from someone on this forum and got a new Zenith carb for my LoBoy. Problem is now that the carb won't fit on my model! The throat on the intake manifold is not large enough to allow the throttle plate on the carb to open. Is anyone aware of an adapter that can be installed in between the carb and the manifold with a larger diameter throat? Should I attempt to fashion one, or should I try to return to carb (to Yesterdays Tractors if they'll take it)and go back to the old gas-leaking carb???
