I,TOO,HAVE A 300U.IT STARTED FOULING PLUGS AT ONE AFTER A PERIOD OF LOW USE.IT TURNED OUT TO HAVE A CLOGGED PASSAGE IN THE CARB. THIS PASSAGE IS SO TINY I COULD NOT SEE IT THE FIRST TIME I HAD THE CARB APART.I ATTEMPED TO BLOW AIR THRU IT,BUT FINALLY POKED A TINY WIRE THRU IT AND THEN BLEW IT OUT.IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY,IT MAINLY FOULED THE NO. 2&3 CENTER PLUGS.SINCE THEN I PUT OVER 1000 HRS ON IT AND MAYBE 2 SETS OF PLUGS.(STILL ORIGIONAL 6 VOLT SYSTEM TOO)
