The manual says to turn the hub so that the screw is horizontal(for easy removal), fill the hub at this position with the same oil used for the engine, turn the hub so that the screw hole is pointing directly downward and let the excess oil drain. Turn hub with screw hole back to horizontal and reinstall the screw. There is a baffle in the hub that retains the correct amount of oil. Really easy and convenient to do it this way. But if a different procedure is used, the excess oil will come out anyway when running.
