I've decided to fix the ole' girl, now what?

The TA clutch pressure plate has lost a finger on my 460 and it's getting pretty hard to shift now so I'm going to tear into er' and fix everything including the TA. Just looking for some tips and tricks to getting it split and then back together. Can a novice mechanic with most of the tools handle the split? I'm not sure what I'm going to do for a stand yet on the front end, any ideas? Where is the best/cheapest place to get all the needed parts? I've got an I&T manual but I think I'm going to get the TA video also, is it worth it? Thanks guys!
