Tell me more. Battery ignition or magnito? If battery, is there voltage to the coil? With the ignition turned on, you should get battery voltage to the coil input. Are the points good? Condensor not shorted? With the ignition turned on, momentarily short the side of the coil that goes to the points to a grounding point - while the points are open. If you get no spark from the coil, the coil is bad. If you get spark from the coil when doing this, explore the possibility that the points ar condensor (or both) are bad.
