After you get the engine up to snuff I would check the rear frame bearings, pull the axles & housings off, I know its a job but if you are going to keep the tractor and use it for heavy work I would strongly recommend doing this, You can catch some bearings starting to fail a heck of a lot cheaper to fix than later when bearings go out and damage a lot of expensive gears. I worked at IH dealer and this tractor was very prone to heavy damage if you didnt catch it early.
