12-Volt Alternator

I've read several articles on this site pertaining to 12-volt conversions, and now have the recommended Delco 10 SI alternator. Looking at the alternator, it appears that because of the way the fan blades are pitched, the rotation should be counterclockwise when looking at the fan from the front (pulley end). This rotation would blow air into the alternator for cooling. I bumped the engine to check rotation before I went any further, and it rotates clockwise when looking from the same perspective. The articles I've read don't mention rotation as a concern, and merely mention modifying brackets for mounting and tensioning. Any advice would be appreciated.
