David, In our school shop, nearly every tractor that comes into the shop needs radiator repair....About half of the tractors get taken to the radiator shop, the other half get a can of bars-leaks. The results.....nearly all of the bars-leaks repaired radiators held. On about half of the radiators that get repaired at the radiator shop, when we get them back they have developed new leaks from the transport process. So, the kids end up having a 200 dollar bill at the radiator shop and dump in a can of bars leaks. My opinion, go with the cheap fix and see what happens. The only way I am going to take anything to the radiator shop is if it won't hold any water...I guess I've had bad luck...Maybe someone else can talk you into doing something else, but I'll stay with the cheap fix!!
