I spoke with 2 pullers at an antique tractor pull here in Maryland about just this subject. They told me if you want to pull an M in the antique class here, the tires can be no larger than 14.9. They were both running them on 14" rims. I am running 15.5 tires on 14" rims on my M but I only pull a plow and a disk!
