Mark, If I remember correctly that aluminum block is 4 1/4 thick which makes it line up with the front pad. Just use a straight edge off the front pad and measure the depth to the rear pad. I had to make a bushing for inside the gear sector bracket and a large washer on the outside. The lift lever goes in between the tank and the steering shaft. If I did it over again I would move the lever on the other side of the steering shaft so you wouldnt hit your hand on the shaft. scotty
