Yep, according to my Farmall 240 parts book (the 240 has the same Hydra-Touch as you've got), there are o-rings on those shafts. It looks like you may be able to replace them without taking too much apart, go through the cover on that end of the valves, try not to go through the other end, as to avoid removing the garter springs, like jmyt_47 said, you need a special tool to replace the garter springs. I really can't give you too many tips for working on those control valves, as I rebuilt everything BUT the control valves on my 240's Hydra-Touch. You can order manuals for your tractor online at www.batescorp.com They have about any manual you could ever want, but the parts manual shows exploded views of everything, so it might help more than a service manual. You can also get the books from your Case-IH dealership.
