Water In Oil Pan....Quick Check info Needed!

I drained x amount of water out of the pan of an H that sat for 20 years. Is there hope for the engine? What would be a dirty, fast, quick check to find out where it came through? Could be the block, sleeves or the head. What could I do to check all three of them at once. Any ideas?
