Headlights, 1954 Super A-1

I am doing research on a late 1954 super A-1 tractor. I went to install sealed beam lights which requires a ground wire or two leads to the light. The original harness only had one lead and there are no blue prints backing up the fact that there was ever a two lead harness offered. So my questions are...did the late super-A's come with the teardrop only or were sealed beams optional? And if the sealed beams were optional, then I think that IH never provided a ground wire which was the same as the early super-C's with the sealed beams. Does anyone have an original super-A with sealed beams? Opinions welcomed and appreciated.
