Durability of TA

During my days of farming, I owned 5 different Farmalls with TA. I only ever replaced one TA and that was 30 years ago, so I don't know much about this sprag unit many guys speak of. Does the sprag not free wheel in low range? Read a post couple of days back and guy seemed to be saying that. I would like to know more on this sprag unit. I put a total of 60,000 hours on my TA Farmalls, as I said replaced one TA. A lot of rules on use discussed on here. I believe most important is ALWAYS use Hy-Tran, followed by do not let freewheel and shift quickly.
