Sir; I am not trying to take away from the work you performed, it is a very important part of the ag industry. Without the research the industry would not be where it is today. Lord forbid us from trying to settle whether that is good or bad. My point is and was, these old tractors are much like our selves. They need exercise. When I farmed I also used some quite heavy iron. I had visions of keeping a letter series Farmall collection. I have since changed my mind, yes I will keep a few, but not a dozen. I have other things to do with my time. When I farmed every day with tractors I didn't realize they would be so troublesome just sitting around. And finally, farming is not a lot different than your work was. Average farmer works 2500 to 3000 hours per year. Not many of them spend more than a third of that time in a tractor seat, and some not near that much. I operated a 100 cow, 500 acre dairy farm plus 500 acres woodland and also did custom work. I my opinion no farm on this continant requires more than 1/2 hp per acre total tractor power. If they are going to compete they will have to aim for 1/4 hp per acre.

Ford part numbers follow the following rules. Most part numbers are in three parts. The middle part is called the
