dear john: thanks for your suggestion. The skid steer is certainly handy. Have rented them for projects but never ran one myself. I really wanted something that could also dig as I could use it in the business (which includes exhuming bodies). Sort of a general purpose machine. However, I do agree that strictly for moving dirt (or whatever) around these machines are very quick and handy. Didn't know you could get one for $10k (in decent condition?). Any suggestions as to brand (ie. are any of them known problem machines) or are they all pretty much the same?? Thanks John
