I had this type of pto on 300 years ago, my 560 had the newer type. I always found once they sliped it was too late to do much adjusting unless you do as joe says which I agree is not very safe. You probably need a rebuild. The newer type on 560 was not much better. IH really didn't get the live pto right until the 06 and 56 series tractors.
