the coil is held in by two screws. you will have to remove the timer disk to get at the front one. once you have the coil in your hand you will see that the mild steel core is still in it. that is what needs to be pressed out. sometimes it will almost fall out other times they are stuck in. warming the coil will help lossen it as it is the tar that is making it stick.
