I would bet the seasonal disconnect coupler broke. It is located up under the cover where the seasonal disconnect lever lies., near the back of the TA housing on the bottom. I had mine fail while running a baler last year, no noise pto just stopped. I replaced mine with a solid coupler Worst part of it is you gotta split it between transmission case and TA unit to replace, only have to move it apart a short distance but still have to disconnect a bunch of stuff and support both ends. You can pull the cover off, will have to drain some transmission oil but not all to get a look at it. Good luck.
