I don't know why it is advertised for so much. Just to be sure I would call them on their prices. I know that I paid a lot less than 265. It was still a rediculus amount for a carb kit but it was less than 265. For some reason I think that it was 75 or 85. It was in that ballpark anyway. I still can't find my bill for it but if it would have cost 265 there would have been no way that I would have bought it. I hope that helps. Call Bates if you have questions and let them know what price they advertised.
