kb I use a putty knife and degreaser, air pressure, kerosene, more air and degreaser, then flush well with garden hose. hand sanding and wire brush will prep most areas. if paint on hood is chiped or pitted you will have to go to bare metal, then wipe down with clean rags and paint thinner. you can get the paint from case i-h, get your thinner there too. I don't use any primer. just spray a light tack coat first then follow with a full wet coat, then go back over and watch for any thin spots. you can get the dust mask any place but don't get the real light ones, they won't filter paint mist.
