Transmission Noise in Reverse - '53 Cub???

I just bought my first Cub, and have a question about some noise in the transmission. The tractor runs great and the forward gears are fine. But in reverse, the transmission makes a little noise. Nothing terrible. It's just not quiet like the forward three. I was told this is O.K. and that many Cubs make this noise in reverse. As a neophyte to Farmall Cubs, I am writing to ask if this is true, or if I need to have the tranny checked out. Thanks in advance for any help.
