Well! I am ready to reassemble! Should I step back?

My 1947 Farmall H is ready to be put back together. I am replacing the bearings in the tranny area. Should I replace every blasted bearing in the rear casting? How do you tell if stuff is bad if you cannot examine it? Should I assume (Fun Huh?) that since it is almost 60 years old, that all of the bearings in the entire tractor are bad? Is there a tried and true method for replacing bearings? My Dad said if you are looking at them, you should be replacing them.

How far do I need to go to get a quality transmission,Final drive without yanking all of the bearings in a final sweep?

Any thoughts on this? I appreciate the information greatly.
