Can't speak to the financial relationship between IH and Steiger but we had an early 90's Steiger-built Case-International 9280. It had the "Steiger" logo prominently displayed on both sides of the hood. The CIH/Steiger was a decent tractor, but got traded last year for a used JD 8960 as it suffered from too-frequent transmission failures. (The Steiger's powershift transmisson incidentally was made in Japan...)
