Is your H burning oil, running rich, or anyting else that could make the exaust smelly? I've spent countless hours on a 706 gas, sometimes with no muffler at all, and the smell has never bothered me once. If you think the exaust is as clean as it should be, and overhead clearence is a priority, mabey you could think of a way to rig up an underslung exaust system, with the exuast exiting behind and underneath you, like what would be found on a utility tractor. The downside is that it could get to be a bit of a project, and depending on where you drive the H, it has the potential to be a fire hazard.
