I mounted to alternator to the original generator bracket using the front hole only. I think I had to turn the original bracket over but am not sure about that. The back half of the alternator can be truned by removing the four bolts that hold the front to the back and simply rotating the position. Don't take the two halves apart very far as the brushes will slip out of their holders, just rotate the back and it will be ok. A belt adjustment can be fabricated for the alternator but the H takes very little energy to turn the alternator and I didn't bother with with a tension bracket at the top. Hope this helps.
