706 Wiring Problem

I replaced my melted #6 Piston and have the tractor back together. Went to start the machine and it seems the starter isnt turning over. I only checked the fuse & went over the wire connections, but I would believe the next step would be to take a tester and follow the line to see where the power stops. Any hints before I start the process tomorrow? I cannot believe the start switch would go now?
