One thing is certain, your 400 is either a 1954, 55 or 56, that is the only years they were built. You must remember that after 45 years, some castings may have been switched for various reasons. Remember also that all 450 parts are inter changable and a sizeable number of parts from M, Super M and 560 will fit. There are even a few parts from 656, 666 and 686 that will fit.

I ran across a ??? H lately with band brakes, Super H engine and 300 front bolster
