Somebody in the past probably tried to or did pull that pully off without using a split bearing puller and cracked it. You have to disassemble the entire front end, removing the grill, raditor, front end, wheels and steering assembly to replace it. If it has been that way for some time I would doubt it is going to give you any problem. I would wait until the timing gear train went bad or the front seal started leaking enough to be a problem and then I would replace it at the same time. GOOD LUCK
